Two of my poems, “Lessons in Mining” and “Bonfires,” are in the new issue of The New Southern Fugitives. “Lessons in Mining” has an epigraph by WV Mine Wars Museum founder Chuck Keeney and was inspired by an experience at my Appalachian school that I’ve come to think of as the sylvan version of Stanford’s Prison Experiment. Revised versions of both poems will be included in my forthcoming debut full-length collection. More details tba.
